Those done, then comes the waiting period for the first sign of pregnancy to occur. When conception does occur, this joyful moment is often marked by the detection of the existence of the pregnancy hormone in the blood. This can often be accurately determined through a blood test or a positive urine test.

Other symptoms of IVF pregnancy will include darkening of the areola, food cravings and nausea. Morning sickness, fatigue and softening of the cervix are all common symptoms of pregnancy. About IVF pregnancy symptoms and back pain

The symptoms from an IVF pregnancy are often similar to those of a normal pregnancy. However, recent studies show that women who are pregnant from IVF procedures tend to experience more back pain than the normal pregnancies. This is often directed and obvious in the areas of the lumbar, lumboscaral and sacral areas.

Women with IVF pregnancies often report a higher rate of pain in the sacral than those of a normal pregnancy. Research done at the Karolinska Institute, Department of Women and Child Health, University Hospital in Sweden shows that it is highly attributed to the serum relaxin which is produced in large quantities during an ovarian stimulation, such as those that occurs during an IVF pregnancy treatment. In fact the higher amount of serum relaxin that is found in the blood, the more back pain is induced in pregnant women, especially around the sacral areas. Pregnant women from IVF treatments were found to have up to ten times more serum relaxin in the blood than women who are spontaneously pregnant or naturally pregnant through normal means of conceptions.
